The Sansui AU-217 is a legendary vintage stereo integrated amplifier released in the late 1970s. The AU-217 is known for its warm, punchy sound and robust build. It is a favorite entry-level unit for vintage audiophiles. It features 30 Watts per channel with Total Harmonic Distortion of 0.06%. The unit is equipped with a dedicated phono input for turntables, including a subsonic and high filter, Tape inputs/outputs/ monitor switch, Tuner inputs, and Aux inputs. The unit is very easy to operate with a large volume control, bass, treble and balance controls.  The unit also has a loudness switch to enhance low volume listening. We are including the original operations manual and schematic diagram.

Condition:  Overall and very nice unit with minor signs of use (see photos). I would grade the physical condition as 7.5 or 8 out of 10. From an operational perspective this unit was recently serviced by DALAUDIO and is in top operating condition. The volume controls, relays, tone controls, selector  and feature switches,  were cleaned and tested. The main output transistors were replaced with matched transistors in both channels, and amplifier bias and output tested and adjusted to specification from the service manual. Its ready to go. This is a very good sounding amplifier from the 1970s with a solid phono stage input that has very good sonic imaging.
