The Pioneer SX-3900 is a legendary vintage stereo receiver introduced in 1980, recognized as the flagship of Pioneer's final "monster receiver" lineup. It is highly sought after by collectors and audiophiles for its unique hybrid design, powerful output, and iconic visual (blue/silver) aesthetics. This is a very clean well cared for, recently serviced unit (see below)in excellent overall physical and operational condition. We are including an original copy of the manual and schematic. Condition: The unit was serviced by DALAUDIO in June. It was thoroughly cleaned inside. All controls, switches, potentiometers and selectors were serviced, cleaned and coated. Speaker lamp indicators were replaced with LED, as they are know to burn out as they are always on. All lamps and switch indicators are now operational. We paid special attention to the difficult to clean volume pot, as it has to be removed to properly service. All capacitors in the power supply including secondary supply voltages were checked with a VOM or curve tracer in circuit test device. Those that needed replacement were replaced. The DC offset and bias was set to meet the service manual specifications. We also recalibrated the output meters. Unit was load tested at full output into 8 Ohms, and then we listened to it, and every input and output was confirmed. The phono stage is very clean (tested per spec.) This unit is ready to go.
