All EQ controls are quiet as they should be. The KB100 is intended to be a small, self-contained PA/All Range system that peavey marketed mainly to keyboard users. However, this amp is a great studio/ jam backup amp due to its Tonal/Gain/EQ versatility. With the gain push pull control on all channels, It can work for a standby for just about any pickup type of instrument: Microphone, Keyboards, Guitars, Bass, Harps whatever you need. It won’t matter what your "slacker jam guest" brings over to play (slacker meaning they came without an amp), as this thing can easily pick up the "slack". For the cost it’s a great backup amp to keep around. This amp is also on 3" castors to help move around.
