The Nakamichi LX-3 is a high-fidelity 2-head stereo cassette deck produced in 1981, highly regarded by audiophiles for its classic Nakamichi asymmetrical dual-capstan transport and proprietary tape heads. It offers exceptional sonic performance with low wow and flutter, and extensive frequency response across multiple tape types. The unit is in very good working and physical condition.

Condition. The deck was recently serviced by DALAUDIO. All belts were changed the tape transport was cleaned, and the pinch roller was serviced; shaft pins and entire mechanism lubricated. We use a Nakamichi Reference Tape to align both heads. Bias was set and the unit tested per the service manual (its available in digital format if you need it). Both record, playback and all deck were functions tested. We can assist you with a digital copy of the manual as well. This is a nice clean unit.
