McIntosh MA-6200 2-Channel Solid State Integrated Amplifier was recently serviced by DALAUDIO and is in good operating condition. All controls, switch contacts, potentiometers, and the internals have been cleaned and checked. All incandescent bulbs replaced as needed. Main filter caps are good, some smaller caps were replaced that had not failed but were not 100% either. The bias was set using Note 8 in Mcintosh service manual. We did this on both channels utilizing current (.29A) and watts (39W), to keep them as low as possible. The physical condition in near mint, and we have a matching MA 500 FM tuner if needed. We are including a digital copy of the manual if you bring a USB drive. Mcintosh maintains a copy as well on their main website as well. This has been reported by many to be one of the best and sweetest sounding Mac’s of all time. The MA6200 to embodies typical vintage Mac sound and always will be know as a timeless classic from the good era of Mcintosh. The McIntosh MA6200 was manufactured between 1978 - 1991. It would appear this may be a late unit. I was told it was purchased as the "heart" of a home system installed by Audio Craft. The house was built in 1990. The tag on the bottom displays "Audio Craft" and has a pen marker 1990 date. It was mounted in a cabinet which accounts for its amazing physical condition. These robust units feature a 5-band equalizer for wide range tonal adjustments and McIntosh's Power Guard technology to prevent clipping. The unit features 6 inputs including: Aux2, Aux2, Phono1, Phono2, Tape 1, Tape 2. Outputs include Tape 1 and Tape 2. This feature rich unit feature Preamp Outputs / Main Amp Inputs. The unit supports up to 3 speaker connections A.B.C, and is very stable into 4 ohm loads.
