Service Summary: The Kenwood KA series have several well documented issues which were targeted including a very thorough cleaning of all controls, selectors, switches. The Main Power supply board was reviewed to look for any PCB issues, and this one is in excellent condition. To get the unit in to service manual specification, we professionally rebuilt two traces on preamp board. We changed several components and adjusted power meters per the service manual specifications. Unit has excellent output level equality between channels. This unit utilizes original Kenwood TA100W - so you can only check DC V In and output. Power supply is well within spec per manual. The unit was load tested with temps checked, and run in out shop for two days with several heat cycles. It has a large sound stage and great overall tonality.
