The JVC TD-W97 is a stereo double cassette deck with Auto Reverse Multi Mode Playback. The deck was cleaned and tested by DALAUDIO and found to be in excellent working condition. The deck supports Dolby B and C noise reduction. The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the TD-W97 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies. The two decks functions as follows: The Left Playback Deck is "playback only" that supports synchronized, normal or high speed dubbing, to the right deck. The Right Deck is Playback and Recording Deck with a tape counter. The input control is supported on the record deck.

Both are typical front loading cassette decks. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Connection to other audio components for playback can be achieved by a RCA cable and recording from a source by a RCA cable.
