A beautiful pair of vintage Design Acoustics D-2 speakers; . This pair of D2's were very well cared for and spent the majority of their life in a temperature controlled room. The overall condition is very good and the sound is excellent. The cabinet is real wood veneer and the speaker grill fabric is in very good condition. The foam tweeter diffusers are showing some deterioration due to age, but are intact.  Please see all photos. More about the speakers: The  D2s  were created by Design Acoustics in the late 70's. At that time, they were a real standout in terms of price and value. Design Acoustics is a somewhat esoteric brand that was best known for the D-12 Omni-Directional Orb Speakers. The D2 offers a more conventional layout with unique and defined sound. The D-2 is a 2-way ported bass reflex configuration with a -3db tweeter control switch. The tweeter is a renowned Peerless  1" soft dome that has excellent frequency response when mounted off axis. The top placement at a 60 degree angle allows the tweeter to sound smooth while creating a full room filling sound using boundary walls. These speakers are tuned to reach deep bass in the 30hz range and have a very balanced musical sound (port plugs are included as optional accessory). The 10in long throw drivers are the infamous SEAS units with maintenance free butyl rubber surrounds. The sound these produce is very open and natural. Jazz and acoustical music are excellently portrayed. Vocals are smooth and well defined. Classic rock is a lot of fun because these are dynamic and deep sounding speakers. Lots of vintage warmth and ambiance to these speakers without trading off focus and detail.
