The Definitive Technology BPVX is a high-performance, compact bipolar surround speaker designed for home theater systems. It features a symmetrical driver array that radiates sound to the front and rear to create an enveloping 3D soundfield. The BPVX speaker is intended primarily for use as a rear or side surround speaker in a Dolby Pro Logic, DSP, DTS, or Dolby Digital surround sound system. In addition, the BPVX can also be uses as a "front effects" speaker in multi-channel DSP systems or as a front main left and right speaker. The BPVX Speakers utilize state-of-the-art high-definition bass/midrange drivers with long lasting butyl rubber surrounds, wide-dispersion pure aluminum dome tweeters with magnetic cooling fluid, complex Linkwitz-Riley crossover networks, and a solid monocoque cabinet with a diffraction-less grille/baffle interface) in order to achieve the most lifelike sound possible in your listening room. Condition: Dalaudio recently checked these speakers and all 12 drivers (6 per speaker). We lowered the "sock style" grill to inspect the individual drivers. The top piano black caps are in very good condition, with very very light scratches (not visible from a few feet away. The grills are excellent. These were very gently used, and clearly respected pair of speakers. The speakers are in very good overall condition and are very clean. The speakers were tested with a Real Time Analyzer (Audio Control)to verify frequency response of each driver with a precision mic. The speakers sound incredible and we will be happy to let you hear them.
