Unique Vintage Pair of Aragon Palladium Mondial Designs Monoblock 125W Class A Amplifiers - These Palladiums were reviewed cleaned and tested by DALAUDIO. They are in excellent working condition and very good physical shape and, at the asking price, represent strong value in that condition vs. the original $5,000/pair retail. They are the original model, prior to the Klipsch acquisition and the addition of the blue LEDs. I'd rate them an easy 7.5-8/10 condition overall. Both have several light scuffs and scratches on the top panel. The slightly lower graded amp has light scratches, I've tried to provide high resolution pictures from every side of both amps. Based on your overall system, these just may become the final quality amps you may ever need. They are a well designed classic that can handle just about anything you connect to them. I listened to several pairs of my personal speakers and these beasts easily drove each (M&K 87.9db, Altec 19's 99db, Infinity QLS-1's 86db, Polk SDA 1C 90db), with ease.

More Info! The dual differential operation is essentially the use of two discrete amplifiers in the single chassis forming a single monoblock. The implementation of Class A outputs eliminates any possibility of crossover notch distortion. The high bias required for Class A operation provides for the bipolar output transistors to operate without switching within the monoblock Palladium's 125 watt Class A power rating. Power is supplied to the circuits by a specially wound 2000VA transformer. This massive transformer allows the Palladium to deliver tremendous amounts of both current and voltage to the loudspeaker. As with all Class A power amplifiers, the Palladium operates in A/B mode into 4 and 2 ohm loads. At 4 ohms the amplifier will generate over 600 watts continuous power, and at 2 ohms it will supply up to a Kilowatt of power. The Palladium monoblock amplifiers were handcrafted in mirror image pairs. Aragons were often referred to as a "Affordable Krell (for the everyman)". Dig into the details and look at the comparison.
